Does anyone know of a shipping company that would take delivery of a car hood from someone in South Bend, Indiana, pack it and ship it (insured) to me in Whitby, Ontario Canada?
I just called Purolator but they will only ship to someone with a Purolator account (and that would need to be a business, not an individual). The sender would also be responsible for packing and a hood is something I wouldn't trust just anyone to pack right.

Would it be possible for you to open an account using his shipping info? I know you said you don't want somebody else packing the hood, but if this is the only way to get it, is it worth the risk?
American versions of Canadian beer are almost as bad as many commercial American beers. The funny thing is that the Canadian version of American beers are better than the American version of the same beer!

If I could smuggle 15 cases of beer into Canada, I can get a hood over.
Careful Mark, I hear the FBI is running a sting OP trying to catch Canadian's purchasing illegal American pop! Well, they call it beer but we know it as pop! LOL
I had my 400 hood shipped from NC to here in Alberta without issue.
Secret is pack it in such a way the shipper knows what it is. Put something around the bottom to protect the bottom edge and wrap the whole hood with clear plastic.
We used to get heat pumps shipped with damage when they where covered in heavy cardboard. Once they went to plastic wrap the damage stopped!
If you get Banshee to do it all the better but if he's Italian your going to owe a favore! forget about it! LOL

Tom, why the heck would you take beer INTO Canada? Canadian beer is so much better!
I am in charge of the beer and liquor for the annual Oshawa Camaro plant festivities. I paid $400 Oberon, Sam Adams, Bud and Bud Light and alot of Third Coast and other micro brews.
The same beer purchased in Canada would cost $900. A case of Bud Light in Canada is $48. Yes, $48.
We did buy alot of Molson, Molson Ice, Labatts, Lakeport Alexander Keith's while in Oshawa...no brainer.
So, you see my rationale...

shipping a hood opposite direction (NB to Texas) I had no poblems or duty(8-9 yrs ago)...the only PROBLEM was that the shipping co stood the hood on its rear corners in the box.....when it arrived here, over 1" was missing ea side!....had to weld in a piece of steel and shape with fiberglass.

Exactly why I'm afraid to have the seller pack it himself and then hand it off to a courier.

So true LOL...I drink Canadian Bud up here from time to time and it's a far cry from the US P-water. And most American micro brewery beers are
Personally I like Granville Island (Vancouver) and Big-Rock(Alberta)beers, and a two-four of Molson Canadian on hot days
