I have two sections that are rusted out, if I order quarter panels will it cover up to this section? Also on the inside of this lip is a where the a plastic drip rail was, unfortantly it was ripped up pretty bad. Here are pictures below to help with identifying what I'm talking about.
No, the quarters (not skins) will only go to the seam at the rear cowl panel. You can kind of see the seam line in the trunk gutter.
Looks like you need a good donar, or some real craftsmanship creating your own metal.
I used coupe quarters for my 'vert and we cut down the middle between the outer fender crease and the edge of the top well. I have heard some manufacturers are now selling 'vert quarters, but I don't think anyone here has used them. (or at least comment on them)
good luck!
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. A full quarter will fix the part circled (outside)and a new filler panel will fix the part circled (inside). The inner structure will have to be patched.

Full vert quarters will get you dangerously close to covering that area. A little fabrication and you should be good to go. Not sure if the underside around the drip rail parts are available, but they will not be seen. I think perhaps with an english wheel and a brake you could fabricate this area to be fairly respectable.
I too have a vert (68) with rust damage in the same area. Not as extensive, but same area.
Research has found that the quarters will solve the exterior only, the interior (drip rail mounts, vert top mounting area) is not yet available. However, the lower center section is available via Classic Industries. The upper center section (between the trunk and top) is also available at C.I. Basically, we are waiting on someone to produce the lower 'wrap' areas under the quarter sections.
Thank you for all the responses...the drip rail mount is what really has me scared at this point. I'll be talking with a few friends in the custom motorcycle area and see if they can lend a hand with fabbing that zone.
