Has anybody tried to rebuild these? I have not been able to locate a rebuild kit but for the price of a new one, I think it might be worth the effort to give it a shot. I suspect the seals are o-rings since it is fairly low pressure. Also, has anyone changed the hoses, any recommedations?
Thanks. After reading your post I was able to use two pointed scribes allowing me to get the end of the ring loose and rotate the ring out. The ring is not a standard "C" or "E" snap ring. The o-ring appears to be a square cross-section measuring 0.500" ID X 0.750" OD x 0.1875" thick. Checking on McMaster Carr, it appears the normal o-ring thickness for this ID & OD is 0.139". I will put this size in and hopefully it will work without any issues. Thanks again! Tom

Squareness of the o-ring you see is most likely compression set, the rubber has deformed to the shape of the groove it sits in. Actually happens in a pretty short time depending on the rubber compound.
