Snowing right now. Supposed to be 1-3 feet of snow here the next two days. Blizzard conditions tonight with 3-4 inches/hour to fall.

Pretty much blizzard conditions here all day. Safe travel only possible with a 4x4 since early this morning. Dummy's in cars have been high centering themselves on snow drifts all day.

They're calling for 38 cm of snow here tonight and into tomorrow. That's about 15" for you non-metric folks.

U.S. news services are calling it a severe winter system. We here will be calling it "Wednesday".

back in Sweden in the 50s, we called it typical winter....but I bet after the "Global Warming" going on for a few years and we are back to "normal" again...its cold for many....

normal is fluctuations in the climate...its a cycle!

Good morning!

Unofficially, 20" of snow dumped on us last night. Have to wait for the totals for our town.
(Edit: The "official" was over 2" less than the estimate. :D)

I usually fill the snowblower gas tank once every 2 to 3 snowfalls. Went through two tanks of gas on this one.

My son is stationed at Naval Station Great Lakes and said they have 18" there. He is not on th duty roster for today so he is watching the other guys shovel from the warmth of his room. He leaves for Norfolk and then on to San Diego in a month so I told him to enjoy the snow cause its gonna be a long time till he see this much again.
