I see that both chrome and black inner pillar post moldings are available for convertibles. Did the chrome come with the deluxe interior and the black/color on non-deluxe? Or what else determined the chrome?
I have some used ones for sale if you are looking for driver quality only. New repops are in the $80 range and need lots of fitting work. (but eventually do fit)
Colored pillars for '68.

Ditto on what said, 67s were chrome platted. I recently purchased repops and the fit is not very good. I don't understand why it is that hard to make one that fits perfectly.
Probably the copper coating under the original chrome plate. Chrome is usually a trple dip process I believe. Hense the term triple chrome. Kind of a misnomer.
