Borg Warner for Camaro work for Firebird?

Will a Borg Warner tranny designed for a 69 Camaro work for a 69 Bird? Does it have something to do with the spline count?

Sorry, it's been a long while since I've had a manual transmission.

If it is a 3 or 4 speed it should bolt right in.

Nevermind, it's a late model stock borg warner weak tranny. Thought it was too good to be true, dang it.

I put in a 79' Camaro Super T-10 in my 68 FB without any trouble.

Who told you it was weak? If it a cast body one there are stronger than the others.

newer model Borg Warners in stock camaro/Firebirds are not strong enough to handle the torque of the old pontiac engines. T-10 are a different story, but I'm looking for the overdrive. I was just hoping the guy had an aftermarket one he was hoping to unload.
