Another prob I'm having with my '68 is the washer mode on my windshield wipers. The wipers work fine but I can't get any water out of my squirters when I press the washer button. The reservoir is full of fluid, the filter screen and hoses are free of debris/gunk and I replaced the washer pump yesterday. The only other things to replace are the wiper motor or the wiper switch. Can someone help me out with this? Thanks for your help.

I'm not positive but I think the pump won't squirt fluid unless the wipers are wiping(on). Maybe somebody else will say for sure. I haven't had wipers on my car in 10 years or more so I don't remember.
The wiper action provides the motive force for the diaphragm pump. When you push the wiper fluid button a solenoid engages the two assemblies. I would guess something is dry rotted.
The windshield wipers are on when I push the washer button but nothing happens. And if there is something dry rotted, I'm guessing it would be in the motor, right?

There is not a separate motor for the wiper fluid pump. It gets its motive force from a cam driven by the windshield wipers themselves. I would divide the problem in two. Take a look at the wiring diagram. I would separately engage the solenoid with a set of temporary jumpers, you should here a click as it gets engaged. I would do this first with the wipers off. If you don't hear anything the solenoid could be bad. If it engages, I would try again with the wipers on. If everything is engaging, I would think either the flapper valve or the diaphragm is bad. Also you can pull the cover to inspect the workings. Its pretty simple when you how it is designed.
I looked at the wiring diagram but I'm not sure which wires I'm jumping. Is it the connectors on the washer pump or the wires on the wiper motor? And from what to what am I connecting the jumper wire to?

Looking at the 68 diagram, you'll want to pull the connector with the blue/white and black/yellow wires. This should have no impact on the wiper operation. After you pull you can check it out. Check resistance to ground on the two posts that are on the wiper/pump assembly. You don't want to ground 12V. Then briefly put +12 V to post where the black/yellow was landed and ground to where the blue/white was landed (again check resistance to ground in case the wiring diagram is wrong). The way this thing works it that once the solenoid is energized it has a another contact to seal in for a complete rotation. All you will be doing is briefly energizing the coil. Again make sure where you are putting +12V is not to ground. You'll only do it for a split second to see if you hear a click. If you do, then more than likely the issue is at your switch in the passenger compartment. If you pull the cover it will help to understand how the device works. I, like you, was expecting another small motor/pump to move the water. Believe me it is completely different. BTW, when I was troubleshooting mine, the issue was at the switch.
Well after pushing the wiper switch a couple twenty times, fluid starting pumping out. I'm not sure how it should work but I need to push the button two to three times to get it to work. Is this normal? If not, I'll lower the priority and get on to other pressing matters like my charging system, rear suspension, etc.
Thanks for your help and responses.

My guess is that the washer pump internal bellows or valves are dried out or damaged. If you PM me your email address, I will send you diagnostic info on it also showing operations, diagrams, etc.
Is your washer diagnostic info with operations and diagrams, etc. still available. This would be for a 68FB. If it is could you send me a copy? Thanks Kurt kurt6325@hotmail.com
I have a 69 that I'm having problems with. I just changed the harness, motor, and washer pump and nothing works. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
