I mixed up a little too much paint for some interior pieces, all I did was reduce it. Can it be saved for a while like that or did I just ruin a couple of my wife's tupperware..... She'll never know anyway..... or will she......? Ron

Reduced paint should last as long as unreduced paint, as long as no catalyst is used. I prefer to buy empty paint cans from home depot, always keep a few on hand. Once I close it I put a bead of masking tape and fold it over the top of the can for a better seal. Make sure to write rts ready to spray on the lid. Canning jars have a rubber seal that will deteriorate and contaminate the paint.
You can also buy little plastic touch up jars from online suppliers. There is a little brush in it and also a marble to mix it up when you shake it. I keep these on hand for quick fixes.
I have a metal pint can left over with my PPG single stage paint in my garage...use it for touch ups once in awhile , its now 9 yrs old. matches perfectly
