I thought '69's were the first year to use 14x7 standard.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. I'd think 14x6 was "stock" for 6-cylinders, and 14x7 was offered for a couple bucks more.....Yellowbird is right of course, just check out her link and you are good to go.
