I have a question about my horn which has been inop. After my horn relay, horn wire and horn burnt up last month, I replaced all the items. When I went to connect the car battery, the horn went off. I took the horn push button off but it still went off when I connected the battery. Does anyone know why the circuit loop in my horn is closed eventhough the push button is off? Thanks.

weird, I had the same kind of issue with my truck. Could there be a queer inline fuse in the wiring somewhere? Wait- you said it WORKS? Ok, are the wires melted somewhere above it causing it to close?

Sounds like you have power backfeeding thought the horns. Power going through the ground back to the horn relay. Look for melted or ribber wire that may be laying against the core support. good luck
If the contacts in the relay are making contact, it will blow the horn. I don't know about replacments, but old school ones are easy to remove the cover to do a visual inspection.
