took my 68 for a little drive yesterday and all of a sudden it started to crap out then died. I now have no power to any thing. no headlights no horn no power... I have 12v to the starter sooo my question is what could it be? a fuseible link? if so where at on the car cause i cant find it.??? ThankS!
First thing to check are your battery connections. Most commonly ut's the battery post. If that's clean and tight, the next one is where the main cable attaches to the starter. "Grounds" should also be checked for "tight" and clean.
Nash has been having a similar problem, no word in a few days on the solution though. Check the positive lead off the battery cable that goes to the junction connector on the rad support by the battery...they get corroded and cause all kinds of havoc.
mine did that once 8 yrs ago...not sure if mine is stock, but found a loose wire to that white 'block' ( ballast resistor )on the Firewall , re attached it...put a dab of silicone on it for the future, never come loose since
