i need to replace the transmission shift cable in my 69 firebird convertible.this will be the second one i have replaced.i have a thm350 transmission with 350 engine with floor shifter.i would like to know which cable others have used and who makes the most correct one.the last one i used seem to be a little longer than original and seem to be hard to shift even after checking all connections for binding.please help allen

I think I got the shorter cable from Classic Industries. If you are going through the cables quickly check your engine ground strap. If it's not in good contact the engine will ground through the shift cable.
