My stock AM radio stopped working. Nothing. Does not appear to be a fuse. Other than it is just toast, any ideas?

The first thing I would do is isolate it to a power supply issue vs a radio internal issue. I would take a voltmeter and check for 12v at the power plug into the radio to ground.

Does it light up?

Is there any sound?

If sound, is it soft or static?

If theres no lights, no sound, then check your fuse and your ground.

If thats fine, tight, then Id say its toast, and will need to have someone check it over.

If theres lights but no sound, check your speaker wires, antennae connections.

If sound but soft, again check your antennae.

Theres really just power, speakers, and the tuner itself.

Pull it, find a company on the net that does am/fm conversions to old stock am radios and send it out...of course if the budget allows. Had my original am done years ago and it still works although i have forgone using it for an under dash cd player.

light is a separate circuit, don't use it to diagnose your radio.
