Just ordered a system from Classic in Ohio. They said they would make the pipes 2.5 inch into the resonators, 2.25 inch coming out to the transverse, then 2.25 inch coming out of the transverse to the splitters. Will I be able to fit splitters from Pypes if they are 2.5 inch splitters? I really don't want to shell out $289 from Ames.
No, not without modifications to the splitters or pipes going into them. The splitters are set up for 1 7/8" pipe.

You could likely take 1 7/8" pipe and flare it to fit inside the 2.25. Just talk to your local muffer shop. They should be able to give you soma good advice. (don't mention buying the new exhaust ststem, just say the kit came with your car)
