Hi Everybody! I purchased a 67 Convertible last summer, and I'm going to be replacing the trunk pan and floor pan this summer. My plan is to start with the trunk and then do the floor pan. I was thinking of doing the 1 piece floor pan since most of it needs replaced, also because someone had already tried an unpleasant floor pan repair job using 1/8” plate. My question is it safe to put the car on a rotisserie or should I build a stand locating the car on the frame and body mounting shown in body manual? I plan on adding as much reinforcements to car as possible.
I used a rotisserie and a frame rack when doing mine. The rotisserie is great for those hard to reach places, but you will want the frame cart for replacing the floor pan to make sure the body is level and square and that the floor pan is where it needs to be.
