We just got our Bird back from the shop and we discovered that there is a light rust on the steel braid. Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove this rust safely? Everything we tried didn't seem to work. Thanks.

Chrome polish. SOS pad. Must be chromed steel. SS wouldn't rust.

some 'low' grade ss rusts....seen it before...have you tried CLR?

Thanks. Someone we met told us to try 0000 steel wool. We did and it worked great.

ahhh....I would`nt use steel wool....it will leave tiny little pieces of steel and will rust...you should use copper wool,for stuff like that , wont rust...be sure to 'rinse' of all the steel particles if you ...if it rusts again ,you know you didnt get all the steel wool off....
