Any idea if the rubber tip (that would attach at the upper right of the support in the inset picture) is reproduced? I've looked at Classic, Ames, EBAY, etc and can't find any mention of the part.

Check out the link below. You are looking for the gusset, correct? Classic carries it.

You can also contact Frankspontiacparts.com - sure he has a set or two onsite.

As garlanka said this link has a set for sale for $60 and the suppors have the rubber on them. I do not see them listed individually though. Maybe the part number will help you.

I'm needing the same thing to finish the "wickedbird." My extensions/supports are good. I just need the bushings. If you find them. Please let me know. greg@motofrugals.com

Just got mine last week. Call Collectors Auto Supply in Peachland BC. Cost me $30.30 shipped for a pair of NOS rubber bushings (in GM wrapper) that no one else seems to have. 1-888-772-7848. Part number 9797328 (F/6-F/8 BUMPER, fender support).

I've got a set of nice used ones if interested. If so, you can email me at EarlyBrds@aol.com.

Thanks,

I know this is an old post but I am also looking for a pair of new, or reproduced 9797328 rubber fender supports. (number 59 under group 8.000 illustration 4 in the GM Firebird Parts Catalogue)

I contacted Collectors Auto Supply in Peachland BC and they do not have any more and do not have any idea where to find them.

I see Classic and others sell the fender support, but not its rubber bumper.

I have looked at most everyone who advertises parts with no luck. I have an old set, but want a fresher pair than my old rotten ones.

Anyone have any idea where to find these or better yet, where did you find the ones for your 69 firebird?

Thanks !
