I am starting to restore my firebird, 400 4 speed, i just ordered the P.H.S docments but am trying to figure out what this bracket is on the front of my engine? It is on the passeneger side of the engine, mounted up high, and is a flat plate that extends out towards the radiator. it has four bolt holeson it, one in each corner. I don't think this is an air conditioning car, but on the firewall by the heater box there are 2 holes side by side. Was this for the condensor lines? But there are no a/c vents in the dash. the heater controls do have an AIR position,so maybe? i thought maybe it was a california car with the a.i.r pump but just realized i have the original protecto plate and the car was sold in New Jersey originally. does anyone have pics of the A/C bracket(s)? i will take pics on saturday and post them. thanks, scott
