I'm putting my P/S and Alternator brackets on my motor. Does anyone have pics of the bracket arrangement. I looked in the 68 firebird assembly manual but are pretty vague. The last motor was a 73 400 and 670 heads and the brackets a I have were bolted to them. I now have a 74 455 and Edelbrock heads. I'm assuming these brackets will still work. Thanks Steve

I also have a 455 with E-brock heads on it. OEM '67 brackets fit with no issues. E-heads have all the stock bolt holes in them.

Thanks guys for your input. Robert if you have a simple pic of the brackets? That would be very cool. Gus68, I looked through some of your pics. I think I'll be able to piece it together with your pics. By the way, some of the rusty/dirty pics, WOW... My 68 convert was originaly a 350 HO, powerglide with A/C. When I bought it, A Looooonngg time ago it had a very tired 73 400, a turbo 400 that would not shift and a peg leg rear that was pretty much JUNK.. lol that's for your input. Steveo

Well I bolted up the aluminum bracket up to the cylinder head. Still scratching my head on how the P/S pump on to that.. Any more pics would be MAJORLY appreciated. thanks Guys

There's basically two bolts that hold it on. One long one that goes all the way through the alum housing that the PS pump pivots on and a threaded stud that goes through the adjustment slot on the backside, closest to the fender.
After looking at all the pics, I think the steel bracket that I have that attaches on the pump and bolts to the bottom side of the alternator is not the same bracket. Mine has 2 bends in it and 2 of the holes has welded nuts on the back side of the bracket. This next week I hope to be in contact with a gentlemen from Clio, MI. I'm still trying to get his number. But has a ton of first gen firebird parts. But thanks again to all that helped. Steveo
