Hey all, I searched for an answer to my question, and was unable to find one. I also read through all the FAQ's regarding a Drum to Disc swap, and while VERY informative, it also did not address my issue....
I am converting the front brakes on my 67 from Drum to Disc (single caliper set up), and I purchased everything new from a company in California. So far the fit and finish has been EXCELLENT. However, on mock up, the rubber flex hoses included (for a 69) in the kit are WAY TOO long. They are probably 5-6 inches too long. There is a metal band in the middle of the hose that is to attach it to a 69 control arm, but my control arms do not have that provision. Does anyone know a shorter line that works for a 67? Maybe 70-73 Camaro? They seemed to be shorter, and the calipers are identical as far as I know....Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

I highly recommend completely blowing off the overly flexible rubber hoses and getting some braided SS hoses from In-line Tube. The disc conversion kit I got for my '67 had them as an option and I am very glad I did it.
It provides a VERY nicely firm pedal when braking. It was so nice I went back and replaced the rubber hoses at the rear axle too.

I appreciate the responses.... I was trying to find a lower cost alternative to SS hoses, but if there is no other option, maybe I will shell out the $$$..

If your lines (hard lines) end at the small L shaped bracket on the side of the frames and you have 69 Camaro/Firebird rubber lines, I can understand they are too long because the 69 set up has the hard lines finish over the upper A-arm. I know exactly what you mean and I did such a conversion on a 68 Camaro. What you want is a rubber hose from a 72 Monte Carlo. It will fit just fine. Went thru that a year ago, did a long search on a Camaro forum, found out about the 72 Monte hose, bought them at advance auto parts, everything fits fine. Let us know the outcome. Frank.
I will defiantly try the Monte Carlo hoses, I spent all my budget on the disc conversion, all new bushings, shocks, sway bar, springs, sandblasting, paint, and all new steering linkage....the thought of having to spend another 100 or more on hoses (I would love to go to steel flex hoses, but I also want the car back on the road before the summer ends!!) right now was not gonna happen, and the outlook of finding a rubber hose for now was getting slim....I'll let you all know how it works out....
