because of a silly mistake I made when building my first Pontiac last year, I am now faced with a rebuild. I have a few questions that some of you may have some answers to: -anybody deal with SD Performance in Northwest before? -are aftermarket Eagle cast cranks pretty good? -aftermarket forged rods recomendation (455) -Canton replacement pan and pickup for a 68? -high volume oil pump recomendations? -better main and rod bearings ie"full grooved mains"? -"better" head, intake, oil pan, header gaskets? any input would be appreciated, I have not posted here for quite some time but I think it 's time to make a comeback :-)
SD Performance gets a lot of praise from other Pontiac people and magazines. They have great reputation.
The rest I will leave to our drivetrain experts. But then, a chat with SD Performance would most likely answer all your questions.

Know a few guys that deal with Dave. Nothing but praise. Can do everything in house except turn cranks. But that may have changed. Selection of parts from stock to full race builds.
Man that sucks! If it make you feel any better, I learned something and will be triple checking mine when they go in...
