I did a 4 speed conversion on my 68 coupe. I planned to shorten my drive shaft but apparently it is in poor condition and the shop wants way too much cash.
So I am looking for a drive shaft to fit a 68 with 4 speed. I installed a BW-ST10, and also would need a yoke to fit. I beleive it to be a Saginaw.
Does anyone have something like this or suggestions.
You're best bet will be having it measured and built.
You can get one from someone, it may fit, it may not, it may need U joints, it may not....You do have an uncommon trans in the car. Unless you know the true measurements of the Muncie, Saginaw and BW, would you know what length differential you will need.
What trans? You said Saginaw? Or Borg Warner Super T10? I don't know if the ST10 Saginaw and Muncie yokes are the same. Why buy, have shipped for it to not fit? Yokes run $45-50, U joints, $25 each... Shortening shaft, another $75-100.
And don't forget balancing the used shaft.
For $200-250, get one made with new U joints, yoke, balanced and proper fit.
