I am having problems Getting my drive line yoke to go in with out hamering it in. It is a rebuilt Transmision and a new yoke.

You should not have to hammer it in. Make sure you have the splines lined up correctly. The yoke may only go on one way.

The Splines are lining up fine it is the bushing in the tail shaft that is verry tight.

They may have installed the wrong bushing. It should slide in fairly easily. You might have the trans shop verify the bushing and the yoke are correct/compatible.

there are two different OD of the yokes. the inside and splines are the same but the thickness of the yokes are different. The bushing and seal will be different also. I found out the hard way. I used the smaller OD yoke in a trans set up for the bigger OD yoke.

Thank you all for your help. I have found out what the problem was it was damaged bushing. All I had to do was hone it out.
