First off, I suggest pulling the entire assembly out of the door. The pivot point for the vent window is at the bottom and the only way to pull it out intact is to pull out the whole thing. IIRC, there is a bolt at the bottom for the front main window guide that is on the inside door panel, there is a screw into the assembly near the top of the inside of the door and there is another that is near the upper hinge on the edge of the door.
The vent window comes out via a nut, a spring and wafer washers at the bottom.
Then you can pull the SS pieces from the main frame which is chrome plated.
I got my frames rechromed by a good local place in Phoenix when I lived there.

They are already disasembled. Just wanted to make sure they were chromed. They look like it since there is soem very minor surface rust. Stainless doesn't rust.
