my '69 has a 4 speed with a scatter shield. i replaced the pressure plate and clutch, and now i'm still having trouble shifting. are these parts different for a scatter shield compared to having a factory bellhousing. car is acting like clutch is not fully disengaging. thanks for any help
Did you install the clutch correctly? There is a difference on each side. May sound silly but it does happen. I double checked when I installed mine that everything mated up. clutch had clearance against flywheel bolts, Clutch wouldn't rub fingers when clutch depressed, throw out bearing mated to fingers on pressure plate.
