Just replaced my Diehard (died) with an Optima red top. The Optima is smaller and the stock clamp doesn't hold it down. Aside from mounting it in the trunk, what have you done to hold it down? Is there an aftermarket J-bolt/angle iron setup that I can use? Any particular mod that looks good? Thanks!
My Red Top is pretty much the same size as the original batteries and the OEM hold down works fine.
Got a bad feeling that the battery place sold you a smaller battery and told you it was the "right" one.

If I am not mistaken, the original battery is a group 27, and there are two different Optima's to choose from, one being a group 27 and the other a smaller one.
