My next project is to replace my rear monoleaf springs and I have some questions. I am thinking of switching to multi-leaf and raising the rear end so it is ever so slightly higher than the front.
Should I switch to multi-leaf? If so, I'm assuming a conversion kit is needed. I know I can find the original ride height, but how do I pick the appropriate springs? Are Firebird springs the same as Camaro springs? Any suggestions for a good place to order them?
Actually, when I replaced the mono springs in my '67 with new Healy springs, the resulting stance is just like you describe.
I was a bit unhappy because I wanted the OEM stance.
I replaced the rear multi's on my '68, and that resulted in the correct OEM stance.
So you may be better off staying with monos. I purchased both sets of springs through NPD. They were cheaper on Healys than buying direct from Healy. (go figure)
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.
