I bought this 1988 Ford Ranger Saleen from the original owner recently and I am in need of a center cap for the front wheel....These are aftermarket wheels that Saleen put on the truck when it was new....These wheels are are / were common in 1988, does anyone here have one or know of one for sale?...Please let me know THANKS
I will post more of it, But I need to take more first....the truck is a very rare truck, It is one of only 24 ever built and it is in great shape,,,,Some other reseach has told me that Saleen built 27 and the first 3 were race trucks only leaving 24 made for public sale. Other info gathered states that Saleen built them up to the number 24 but started the first one as number 10.....It is also stated that the first truck was a give a way (raffel) truck thus being number 10 this would make the total built 15 not 24....When I saw the ad for the truck on Boston CL I thought it was a joke as I never heard of a Ranger Saleen until I googled it and that they were really made....I called the owner and asked him where he got the truck, he stated he won it in a raffle at the local mall back in 1988.....I asked him if there was a number on it, he stated yes number 10 on the bumper and on several Saleen tags on the truck as well....I went to see it and I bought it......The truck is really a great truck in great shape as well as a peice of Saleen history.
i actually took these pictures today as I was walking by the truck...here are a few inside pictures BUT I took them with the windows up ...sorry for bad pics But thats all I have right now...as you can see the truck has all Saleen interior as well...MoMo steering wheel, FlowFit seats, Saleen sport gauges and Pioneer stereo with 6 speakers and 2 amps....I will take more pics soon and post them .
I'm a Ford truck man, I have a 250 super duty and only bought Fords since my first one in 85, I never new they made these only seen the Lightning before. In 88 I was out of the country or I might have been all over that. What does it have for running gear?
