I've bought two complete GTO kits from Legendary INteriors, and they are the best ever made. I have spoken with them a few times about making interiors for the First Gen. F bodies. They said it was in the works, because of the need for something much better than is out here now. However, they would not say a word as to when I may look for the kits. I would order a complete 68 400 drop top kit for my car when they make them.
one of the advantages legendary has is that they sew foam into the vinyl cover just like the factory does. all the other companies sew in synthetic cotton (dacron) it flattens out in a couple weeks like your pillow and offers no body or depth to the design or pleating on the cover. probably the worst i have seen are from yearone. they are way too big. i had to trim them down and resew. just poor quality.
Legendary says they'll have everything available April 6th. I wonder if that means they'll start taking orders then.

The front seat covers came today along with the GTO order that went in at the same time. Not sure when the rest will get here yet.

My thinking at this time is to go with Legendary on the seat covers, but use PUI for the door panels, etc.

The bigger difference is being able to get them pre-assembled. And not sure how much better than can be made. Will have to see when the door panels get in, which is the other issue. Ordered a long time ago and still not here.

I ordered my deluxe door panels from AL Knoch interiors. I haven't tried fitting them, but they sure look beautiful! Another member on this site reccomended them, and they had the best price with free shipping to boot!

They sell them on Epay for $405 (or right around there) with free shipping. I called them and they also sold me the matching teal carpet, and the carpet for my fold-down seat. They have other stuff too.

I used PUI. (one of the top 3 I'd say) and requested that they cut all my material from the same lot of vinyl to ensure color and grain consistency and they did. Front seat covers, rear seat cover, door panels, rear side panels & top mechanism panel covers. Oh and the arm rest pads...
They were fast and accurate, great quality and price at the time (2 years ago)
Brett, were your PUI panels assembled? I want to make sure this time around that I purchase everything assembled to save me some time and last minute headaches.

FYI concerning Legendary and FGF interiors. I dropped-off my original black deluxe interior convertible rear seats with them for use as a pattern (they already offer coupe rear seats). It should be about 3 months to get the new ones I was told.
I'm probably a year or two from getting to that step. I still have Fred Flintstone floor pans in my coupe.
Another member here used them, but I can't remember who. I bought them due to their reccomendation of Al Knoch interiors.

Sounds like you do projects the way I do, not in a hurry.
Yep, that's my motto... Hurry up and wait.
But at least I have two other fgf's to keep things interesting.
