I am finishing up the prep for paint on my 67 vert. No # matching, 455 with a 4 speed. I am making it a 400 looking tribute car. It will be white with red interior. Not sure on top color yet, black or white. Which one color do you all think on the top. I have a 68 Camaro z28 and really like the look of the stripes on it. I am thinking of putting red "Z" type stripes on this car. I know, I know, I am prepared for the flaming but should I or should it just be solid white? I am planning on selling it after driving for a while so I don't want to make it a albatross! I think it would look cool but then again I have never seen one with "Z" stripes. EB
The stripe I would suggest is the Rally stripe down the side. Personally, I think it goes well with an all white car with a dark interior(red works).

Stripes over the top of a car are a Camaro and Mustang styling touch. Firebirds never had them.
IMO leave the stripes for the Chevy and Ford guys. Enjoy the stripes on the Camaro and leave it at that.

I think Woven web meant H O stripes on the sides? In any case thats the only stripe to consider if any, especially if you're going to sell her. Where are you located in this Great State?
Thanks, I have decided to leave her solid white, no stripes and red interior. It has a 400 hood that will have 455 badges and then a spoiler plus all the regular badges that would have been on her when new. I have not decided on the top color yet, I thinkig black? I am in Lubbock. Where are you at?

Most white cars came with white tops unles they had black interiors. The black top might look a bit odd with the red interior.
Maybe a custom red top to match the interior would look cool?
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. Yup, a chemical mixing company completely burnt to the ground. Fortunately no one was hurt. Big smoke cloud visible from all over the metroplex. This was from my house about 10 miles away.
Sorry: Never really been a fan of the '69 model, so they are never in my thoughts
And I forgot that Rally Stripes don't go on the roof. Never wanted a Camaro either.
