Because of this great forum, I usually have found answers in past posts, but I've searched several times to no avail.
The problem is after a cold start up, gas will start to gush out of the carb and "flood" all over. If I wait 5 mins the car starts up and will run for another 10 mins and puke gas out again.
Each successive time it will go a little longer before it starts to puke. Eventually it stops the regurgitation and runs fine at about the time it is fully warmed up. This just started happening about two weeks ago. the whole summer was no issue.
Car- bone stock 326 with original Rochester 2-jet. Carb was rebuilt with a carb shop rebuild kit about 5 years ago buy a competent old school local mechanic. This kit supposedly had new gaskets that are new fuel safe. and new floats were install and adjusted.
Other then the gas puking on cold start up, the car runs great after it is at operating temp.
The float sunk, the "jesus" clip moved and is keeping the needle off the seat, the pin floated out of the float boss, or a big chunk of nastiness is sitting across the seat opening, not blocking it but keeping the needle from stopping gas flow. Or the five year old parts simply didn't maintain good seal with alcohol laced gas and broke down.

Golly gee, the jesus clip! Why didn't I think of that? Even Cliff quit using the jesus clip. I wonder why? After all, it was only in the last few years since he choose to leave out the jesus clip. But what would I know? Just as important; what do do I plan on sharing in the future.
Anyway, I can hold my own when it comes to a Quadrabog--wanna watch mine bog? I have recently had some Holly powered cars watch mine bog, and they aren't using their rear view mirrors to watch.
I have never had much luck with the 2bbl, and even less experiance with finding the reason for failures, specifically a built-in hesitation; even so, most carbs share similar functions. If I were going to start fishing on this carb of which I know nothing about, the first thing I would do would be drop the float a tad, lower the amount of fuel in the bowl. Then again, you may be able to find someone that 'knows' something about troubleshooting cars, and they can offer you a more logical place to start.
Hey thanks folks! Looks like I have a project for this winter. Weather is starting to suck here any way. been afraid to screw around with it since it has been running so well the last few years.
I thought about swapping out for a Q-jet, but it is only original once... and many a people have complemented me on keeping it that way. Besides, to do it right, I'd have to also upgrade it with a 400

You'd be surprised what a stock 4bbl manifold and a Q-jet would do for ya...you can always keep the 2bbl stuff in wraps.
