Bought a rebuilt head the other day for $20 with an option for the second head (when the guy finds it)the stamping on it says "093" ? The guy says it will fit a 389 or 421. Anyone have any info on it and will it fit any Pontiac block?

Cool. Thanks. Any idea on what kind of compression and or hp rating and what cam would match these heads? I think I may have to chase down the other one fairly soon when I get back from Fort St John (can you say way to far north?). The guy has a machine shop with all kinds of old heads. I'll have to see what else he has as well.

High compression on the 400-421/428. Probably in the range of 10. They're for older blocks, and have valve angles that are different than the later blocks. If you run a huge cam you could run in to interference problems.

Wallace Racing shows the heads to be 1966 GTO, 389 335hp or 360hp, and 421 356hp or 376hp. They have small intake and exhaust valves, 1.92/1.66.
Should be about 68cc stock chamber volume.
