I copy and pasted from a post I had in another forum. Any help to get intouch with the right people would be great.
For almost 20 years now, we have owned a 1967 Pontiac Firebird that is the first ever to be built. And have all documentation proving so. Approximately 15 years ago, we acquired the second 67' Firebird to ever be built(including documentation). They are both numbers matching cars, with basically all their parts, but do need full restorations.
I know so much more information is needed, but just looking for any info on value or who to get in touch with about value of these cars.
Any response is appreciated!
Thanks, Shaun
Well, I didn't have time to get pics around today, but I did get the entire VIN and body tag info of both cars. Build dates for both are 2nd week of December 1966.

First off I would get the PHS documentation on the cars. Go to phs-online.com and they can fax you this info on those cars.

Are you thinking of seling these or is this a valuation exercise for maybe insurance purposes? When you say you have all documentation are we to assume that includes PHS? Personnaly, I think the first firebird ever produced would need to go to auction to get a good feel of what it's worth. First year and first one produced... that's pretty cool. What did you pay for it 20 years ago?

Value is very subjective.
But there is a datapoint out there - an early 67 Camaro (not the first one, but the body # was 00001) sold for $100K at B-J. The car was fully restored. 7N100001 Camaro has been found and I think it sold. It was a chopped up dragcar - no info on the price.

Pretty cool. A bit more info would be appreciated; I'm sure there a good story there! How does one person get the first AND second Bird ever built in posession?
Pics plz!

I wouldnt hold my breath on this one... I think it might be a joke. Guy posted same topic on a couple other forums that generated same questions and requests for pictures but didnt produce. Kinda reminds me of the recent test car claim. It would be cool story though if true.

Weird joke; what's funny about it?
Was that about Firebirds as well?
Still very weird to own first AND second Bird ever made: what are the odds...? Makes it less likely to be true indeed...

Amazing how some people have so much time to waste...
Unfortunatly, they waste everyone else's time along the way as well.

Oh man, I wish I had the time to waste to post in random forums. Truth is, I hardly have time to respond to posts on here.
The link below is an album I started and loaded some pics of 00001 car(with 00002 car in background). I will try to continue to load pics up.
I have been in touch with Hagerty the over the last week... They have been very helpful and are getting me intouch with the right people.

I would love to restore these cars, but I don't know I that's going to happen. That's why Ive posted in this forum and have been trying to get in touch with people to figure out pricing.
So, ultimately, they will be sold and hopefully someone restores them.

You might have to auction them to get the best price and probably together would be the best. Do you have a price in mind?
I sent you a PM.

Probably just bring 'm to Barrett. It's just that they charge a lot probably...
So, care to tell us the story on how you got to obtain these to birds together?

Thanks for posting those pics of the vin #'s. I recommend you not restore these. Whoever buys these cars will either want them in original state or a 1000 point restoration. If you did pay for a restoration, there is nothing to say you would make a profit on that investment. If you haven’t registered them with PHS, do so. No one will buy these cars for their historic relevance without authenticating documents. This site has more knowledgeable people and documentation of FGF's than any other site and a great place to be posting. PY might be another site to generate excitement in the Pontiac community. You would undoubtedly receive a lot of responses. Creating a buzz in the pontiac community that these two cars might exist and be for sale is a good start to marketing. Proof needs to be established soon though (PHS). Good step posting the vin # pictures. Of course these are just my opinions. I'm sure others will chime in.
