Bernie,

I'm guessing this is for a '69 Bird. Do you have any pics of a '69 Safegaurd Speedo? I hate to thread-jack, but Safeguard speedos have become an interest of mine since I picked up a '67 unit with rally gauges and safeguard.

To my knowledge, the only aftermarket reproductions out right now are for '67's without rally gauges.

Just a heads up, if you find the speedo you're looking for, you'll also need the adjustment cable, wiring harness, and buzzer. I see buzzers on eBay once and again, but they seem outrageously expensive (~$100). Maybe someone else knows of a cheaper option?

My 69 has the safeguard speedo, but it's not for sale. It was not original to this car, it was added by a previous owner. I could take pictures of it later, when I'm back home.

The 69:s does not have an adjustment cable, the adjustment knob comes out of a hole in the glass, just like on a clock.

I also have in my possession parts of a metric safeguard speedo that comes from a 69 Firebird. It only goes to 200 kph (about 125 mph), where the one in my car goes to the normal 160 mph.

Apparently I'm not allowed to post picture in the "Parts wanted" section, so I continue in a new thread here: https://firstgenfirebird.org/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=242511#Post242511
