Ha. That's an old pic. Like the garbage can in the background? Nice. A little backstory about that.
That was the virgin trip after I put it back on the road after 9yrs in the garage. It had a broken down 400 that I bought from a bud just so I wouldn't have to push it in and out of the garage and it wasn't supposed to leave town. The night before that run the radiator decided to blow out. I was up till midnight soldering and only went because Hugo said if I made it to his shop the next day he had a spare we could throw in real fast before we left. I spent all day driving on 7 cyls because one spark plug wire was bad. We did 200+ miles that day and had a great time. Drove back home through Oakland! after dark! The whole day went off without a hitch. I was so confident about the way it was running we took off to a show in Stockton the next weekend. We got about 15miles and the motor blew on the freeway(dropped the head off a valve into #2 and the engine grenaded). Adventures in hot rodding. I really gotta get a new pic for the show.
