A hydraulic press is best. A ball joint press also works if you're creative. Burning the rubber out and then chiseling out the shells works. An air chisel works too. The easiest way is to take them to a machine shop and pay them to do it. Shouldn't be more than $50 with the arms off the car.
It's a major PITA to do them unless you have all the various jigs you need to press them. It can be done(I did mine), but it's a pain. I don't know about MA but out here they get $25-$30 to R&R each one at a shop. There's eight of them. You can do the math.
One other thing is you have to be careful about pressing on one side of the A-arm because the press will squeeze(bend) the arms and you'll never get them back on. Not to mention ruining the integrity of the part. That isn't a part that you want to be bending and worrying about later.
Use a drill bit and drill holes though the rubber, keeping the holes as close as possible. After drilling, run the bit in a hole and start wallowing the bit around to the adjacent holes.
Cripple the metal in a few spots, and they will drop right out.
I used a piece of PVC pipe (1 1/2") cut into two half circles the length of the space between the control arm "ears" so that they wouldn't bend while pressing them out. It worked but it takes a fair amount of PSI to push them.
Not a name brand, but one of the guys I work with used to work for classic and he says these are basically the exact ones they sell for $600 a set. Got mine on Ebay for $300 shipped

I ended up buying uppers from a guy that makes them in his shop in Illinois. I liked the fact that they were made in the US. I think they were around $300 and it felt like they came with lifetime customer service. I like that.
