Does anyone know if the 67 400 Firebird has a offset Yolk on the driveshaft like the 67 Camaro big blocks have? I read somewhere that the crossmember tranny mounting holes are different on Camaro's than Firebirds as well. But I also read that big block 396 Camaro's driveshafts with TH-400's are all in line. If someone can explain this whole situation out for me it would be great. Thanks Dan
Not all Camaro's are like that just Big Block 4-speeds in them. I just wonder if just the Firebird 400 Big Block 4- speeds have them with it as well? But your application kind of contradicts this theory.
Almost all Camaro's have the off set u-joints,in fact I've never seen one that wasn't but I haven't seen them all.The BB Camaro crossmember has the holes offset to the right about an inch from center while all other Camaro's and Firebirds are centerd.
Hey Pete are you sure that your equipment is original that kind of makes me wonder now why the Big Block Camaro's with TH400 are all in line and Firebirds are different? Wonder does it have to do with the mounting holes on the crossmember?
