The alternator in the 67 firebird is done and I've strarted to look into a replacement, but I'm not sure what execly is in there now.

Here's what I was able to find

Part number 110?076 (? is for the number I can't read)
Date code is 8H25 (8/25/68 ?)
there is also a 63a stamped in the housing (amps?). But that would make it an internal voltage regulator correct? But with that date code?

So what do I have?

that should be an externally regulated one and 63 amps sounds correct to me. if it's original to the car you may want to look into having it rebuilt, if you care about originality.

don't know much about the part numbers, somebody else will chime in i'm sure.
