3,658 According to PHS info in my doc package; 82,560 total '67s were made. 15,528 were converts. Of those 2,641 had 6 cyl, 9,229 had 326s, and 3,658 had 400s.
Jim, To further help with your breakdown: Fred Simmons informed me that there were 557 "Sprint 6" convertibles in 67. (So 2641-557 Sprints= 2084 base OHC 6's) Wouldn't be cool to have the other breakdowns? Does anyone have the 326 and 400 breakdowns?
I do not think that there is a code on the trim tag to indicate a "Sprint" OHC 6. (4bbl version) The VIN shows V8 or OHC 6 only. The only way to tell for sure is get the PHS info.
And was the basis for countless engines that followed it. Any engine that uses a neoprene timing belt owes a lot to Pontiac for their pioneering work. Truly an engineering milestone!
