Installing new 3.55 gears and posi and I'd like some opinions on this contact pattern.

I think the pattern is centered well toe-to-heel, but maybe not quite as deep into the gear mesh as I'd like.

But when I add pinion shim thickness and/or decrease backlash to try to get a deeper contact, the pattern only moves down towards the toe on the tooth drive side and doesn't seem to get any deeper.
Any opinions? Thanks

What's the lash? Looks good so far.

.008" backlash. The spec from Motive is .007-.009"

If that's what you get when you check at four equally spaced places around the gear, run it.
