I have a `67 Firebird Sprint. I am looking for a correct style Rochester Q-jet carb. It doesn`t have to be a numbers matching unit, just correct throttle linkage position and fuel inlet position. I also need the throttle linkage at manifold and carb. Mike
The Carb will be the easy item to find. You see them on Ebay from time to time. For 1967, you will want the carb where the fuel line comes in tangentially. The linkage is another matter. I remember a post on the OHC forum a few months ago where someone fabricated one until such time he could find an original. The problem finding the linkage is that many 1 bbl OHCs were switched over to a 4 bbl manifold, but the linkages were either tossed or never carried over.
Mike, look on ebay for Pontiac Quadrajet carburetor. Seller ramair always has quadrajets listed. I purchased one from him for my Lemans Sprint some time back, and traded him a core. Don't know if he still has it. I have purchased several restored units from him...excellent work. Keith
