Hi folks. Finally got the car back on the road after the engine rebuild, Trans rebuild, front end rebuild and some other odds and ends. Still have some other stuff to do but I just needed to drive it again after 18 months. Man is it nice!! Tons of power BTW, I hope these aren't too big.
Wow! Beautiful! Make me wish we didn't have 18" of snow heading our way tonight...
Ed, what color blue is that?
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. Dare I say FORD blue. I have the code in the console. The original color on the PHS doc is Aleutian Blue. I am very anal about my stuff and it bothers me someone repainted the car a different color than original. The thing is the color is stunning in the sun so I am going to wait until it doesn't shine anymore, which will probably be never because it stays in the garage covered when not in use.
Thanks for the comments. It was a lot of work but I think it payed off.
My bird was red when I bought it and I chose to put it back to the original Aleutian Blue when I got the bodywork done. It's a great colour in the sun but your blue is really nice as well. No use spending the extra dough at this point, as you state.

Looks great Ed! I want my engine compartment back to original like yours. Did you rebuild the A/C yourself. Love the color!
The AC worked when I removed it but leaked. I bought an O-ring kit which was picked up and shipped to me by Lambert (desert68, thanks again). The compressor muffler was painted black so I removed the paint from it, installed the o-rings and charged the system. I borrowed a sniffer from work and the system is holding the charge fine.
I still have some things to do in the engine compartment. The wire bundle on the drivers fender has a broken clip that is supposed to hold the wires close to the top of the inner wheel well. The red wire running over the evaporator case and to the positive battery cable needs to go. I have a replacement engine harness I still need to put on and want to buy the front wiring harness. Craig (68pls400) picked me up a windshield washer pump (mine is missing) which I will install after I rebuild it. Other than a couple small items such as clamping and things I am done in the engine compartment.
Thanks for the kind words. The photos really don't show the true color of the car. I will have to see if I can snap a couple in the shade.
Now that I can see the photos (blocked at work) - WOW does that look nice. Great job.
The curious DO want to know the paint code. I wouldn't be G9 per chance, would it?
It looks reeeeeeally familiar.

I agree, aside from just a few things under the hood you are really close to a nice bone stock look, something that really gets us so called purist pretty excited!
Try Dr. Rebuild in Connecticut for the wiring strap at less than $5.00 each. He specializes in Corvette stuff, but GM used many parts such as wiring straps across all car lines.

If they used the code on Lincolns it may very well be. I will have to look when I get home. You have me wondering. The paint is over five years old but looks very good. I had the painter at work buff it out for me and it came out great. Thanks!
Nah, according to the color charts I saw online, if it's an '07 Lincoln color, it was most likely DX, Dark Blue Peal Metallic.

From what I researched on another website it was introduced in '92 and continues today I think?? The site I used had 1992 through ... I am not sure if it was active or not. I am at work and I'll look at the one you provided tonight. Thanks for the link!
And thanks everyone for the kind words! I wanted to bring it to work today but the weather didn't cooperate (rain).
