Alright, my brother...the computer whiz is now hosting a gallery on one of his computers of all the stuff we have been doing to the car. There are more photos to come, but this is what we have so far:
Haha, thanks Drew...I wish I was actually using the stand right now...but eventually it will get an engine on it. If you need it back at anytime...just let me know!
Thanks Thomas...I just got the body mount repair pieces and the sway bar is on its way. So hopefully by next month the subframe will be finished...then we move onto the floors we never got done at Christmas.
David , nice job..... didnt know you would get into all that when you bought her ,did ya!? it`ll be ok though...and you`ll learn alot... Hope to see her run soon!
WOW David, it looks like you and I are doing pretty close to the same thing to the same model Bird that was in very similar condition, and were even kinda close to the same stage of progress...OK, maybe youre a lil ahead of me I noticed you even used the same exact method to remove the coil springs---a 3' all-thread and a piece of 4x4 lol. That worked better than both spring compressors I had, and it sure cost a lot less. I almost thought I was looking at MY site.
Thanks yall...I couldnt have done it with out all yalls help!
CDJr...sounds like you got the same good info on the spring removal as I did! Are you going to keep your car a 350? I plan on doing a 440 (400 with 428 crank).
Im not sure yet what Im gonna put in it...itll probably depend on how much cash I have left after rebuilding the body lol. It was just a rolling chassis when I bought it, and I was thinkin about dropping an LT1 or something similar in it, but then Terry got me to thinkin seriously about goin back with a 350 or 400. But luckily, as slowly as Im moving along with the body, Ill have plenty of time to decide.
