Howdy all, I am trying to re-connect my original shifter and do not remember how it goes back together. I removed it to replace tranny and rebuild car but started several years ago and now am finally ready to put it back together. Any help someone can provide is greatly appreciated.

I replaced the 2 spd powerglide? with a 700R4 and am trying to use the original console shifter. I went to shiftworks and purchased the parts to convert it to the 700R4 tranny. I have installed the parts but cannot remember how the original components go back together. I have several manuals but they do not break it down enough. it seems like i have a couple parts left over.

The link above looks good to me. It's just missing the bulb reflector and the lens (which goes on top of #13 and is held in place by the top plate).

Thanks for the diagram. It is pretty detailed and can see that the parts I thought were for the shifter box actually are not. Thanks for the assistance. That is a very nice car you have in the picture. I want mine to look similar. I went with the original Verdoro green, changed from 2 carb to 4 and changed tranny to 700R4. Rewired to today's type. Also have convertible but have not put top on yet. Have lots of little things to do to it still but should be driving it soon.
