Please expand on the K&N oil filter comment.. Are they junk?
(I would also be wondering what other passages all that bearing material went to)

I've pulled worse looking bearings, put new ones in and went on down the road. As long as the crank's not chewed up. How'd the rest of them look? Usually 1 and 2 are the worst cause they get the oil last.
It's a stroker 4.250 Eagle crank. Thats about the worst looking of the bearings so I think just a rering and bearings for this motor. As far as the K&N comment: I bought 2 cases a couple years ago for 2 bucks a piece On Advance Auto clearance. When I changed my oil I ALWAYS fill the filter. When I started the motor up I checked to see if I had any leaks and the lifters started ticking. Looked at the pressure gauge and 0 oil pressure. Waited 5 minutes for the oil to settle started again still no pressure. Now im FREAKING out. Since I have plenty of oil filters I put another in. Now I have oil pressure. But I think I knocked the clearances out. When its up to operating temp I only have 10# at idel the rest of the time great pressure.
Yeah I'd be concerned with only 10# as well. Took mine out for a ride a couple of years ago and after hitting it pretty hard up a long hill I looked down and had 0 pressure. Shut it off as fast as I could. My 1 and 2 rod bearings looked alot like yours. Turned out there was a piece of cast flash caught in the oil bypass holding it open.
