I love it when you get that interest back with your car. My 67 has been laid up in the garage for the past 7 months. One problem after the other, nothing serious, but I didnt have the interest to fix it. Fix one thing then something else. Well finally, I'm finished. Rebuilt Water Pump, Rebuilt Alternator, new belts, oil change, and then what I really love....Compound, Polish, and Wax!!. When you go over every square inch of the car, and the paint shines like it should...great feeling!!. You drive the car around town, people notice it, always some good compliments. Spending lots of time in the garage, I've owned that car for over 26 years now. still have to clean the rally wheels and polish some chrome. Labor of love. If the sun comes out I will take some photos, been a while since I posted any. To continue rambling, I told my son I was going to give him that car back when he was in grammar school. I know I said when he was 25, but my wife and everyone else says I said when he was 21. Well he's 21 next January and counting the days. I'm getting scared!!.
Start making your plans NOW! You (and your car) are going to have to leave the country. Talk to Bjorn, maybe you can room with him in Panama for a while. Good luck, man.
LOL, my comment would be that 25 is the right age though...as classic insurance wont allow under 25 s to drive a clssic car...IIRC...is it insured as a classic? You might want to check that out! gives you 4 yrs repreive!
The insurance thing is exactly why I know I said 25. It's all good. He cannot have the car until he has a stable job and a garage to put it in. I will let him drive it though when he comes to visit. Took some pics this morning. Here ya go. Edit::Seems like I used to know how to embed an image. Why do you have to click the link?
