Yes I did,
You will need a saw to cut the pipe to the proper lenghts. I welded all my conections. It took me around 8-10 hours to install but its right on the money. Looks like a 10 on the 1-10 scale and sound just the way I like it to. If you order the kit dont order the flanged reducers. You wont need them. The 17129 kit comes with him even though it say you will need the reducers. You will need to get the car up on four jack stands to make the job easier. I was very happy with the kit...Joe

Joe, where did the rear tail-pipe exhaust opening wind up? Are the pipes around the rear axle well-bent or are they crimped/smushed? The kit I bought last year was cheap and the pipe-bends over the axle were not done well (have a squashed look).

Nash,
Sorry it takes me so long to write. The wife and I have been looking at houses all over the county and we finally found one so now its time to sell ours. So many things to do. Any ways, The tail pipe came out behind the rear tires between the spring and the quarter. I was very very happy with the kit. The bends look very smooth. Id do it again in a heart beat. But like I said it took 8-10 to get it cut and welded just right. I had exhaust put on a car before at a shop. Very disappointed with it. Thats why I decided to go with a kit. So I could spend the time to get it just right. Id take pictures but the car is well its got boxes all around it. Ill take a picture of it in its new home in two months. Joe

Good feedback Flynnstone, looks like I'll go ahead an order my Flowmaster system from Summit.

Quick questions:

Is it better to get a system with or without the transverse muffler in the back?

and does the system come with all necessary exhaust hangers and chrome tips?

Thanks,
Thomas

it comes with two 40 series mufflers only. exits out of the rear, behind the tire. comes w/ all hardware and hangers to install, even the parts needed to connect to the headers.
no chrome tips though. but it is aluminized pipes.
i am uncertain how much the kit is elsewhere, but the best price i found was 271.00 at Ramchargers in Michigan.

Do you have an item# for that kit at Ramchargers? I looked on their website, but I could not find it.

17129 is the flowmaster number for the complete kit. if you call the Madison height store in michigan, talk to justin, tell him Jeff Flynn sent you, maybe he'll hook you up on the shipping.

i think you can use almost any series. i believe the case sizes are about the same, just the internals vary.

vice-versa. Internals are the same, case size is different.

40 series is the smallest. I dont know that the 50series would fit.
this site has external dimensions of the different mufflers and other info.
