Hey Guys, I have been a memeber of this site for a long time, but have not visted here for awhile now. I have been very busy and just had a new baby girl 9 months ago. I hate to say it but I really need to sell my car. Its not that I really need the money, but it would be good to pay some debt off and get my finances in order at this time in my life I think.
I recently put a small dent in the back of my car while pulling a jetski trailer out of my garage that sits beside the car, its a small dent right on the back right corner, I can post pictures, but think it might cost 600-800 dollars maybe to get fixed, not sure if it would be best to fix that before I sell?
Its a none original engine, somewhere on this site someone helped me find that out from my engine numbers, only after I had owned the car for awhile, I was young when I bought my car and had no idea what I was doing. But I have put allot of money in this car since I do not work on it myself. Its a real fun driver, I would have loved to get the AC back on the car and working.
Anyone care to help me put a price on the car that you think is a fair price? I was thinking around 20K, that might be too much, but I have really have no idea. I have more than that in the car, but really did not do a good job keeping up with receipts, I do have tons of pictures of all the work.
There is also a classic car consignment shop local to me here in Charlotte NC that said the could help me sell the car called "Street Side Classics" http://www.streetsideclassics.com/ if anyone knows anything about them please let me know also!
Nice looking car. You done a nice job! $20k does not seem unrealistic given what they are asking on eBay lately. If you follow the sales for the next 4 weeks you can get a better idea as to what it could be worth. Consignment could be a good idea if they already have a great track record for selling Firebirds (there are a few out there).
Good luck!

Good luck selling your car. I am interested in the outcome since our cars are very similar. I'm not thinking of selling mine though, just wondering what the real world value is. What transmission do you have and is it a deluxe or standard interior?
Hi. I also have a very similiar car and spend a lot of time watching its value (the more I spend on it, the more I look, lol).
I would agree $20k is a minimum, but prob not more than $24k. Depends if it shows really nice and is cancer free. I would consider getting the dent repaired.
Also, I have had very good luck with Craigslist. Sold a 65 Galaxie Convert that went to buyer in Sweden in just one week. Good luck. You'll prob get some offers just by asking the question on here.
