Hello, i had the bird out for a short drive today and noticed a buzzing sound during idle conditions (vibrating sound)from the console). i never bolted the console in and it appears its vibrating between the console mount bracket and the console. there are supposed to be 2 screws (one on the left side and one on the right side) that hold the console to the bracket. does anyone know what they look like and where to get them ? thanks
Good timing. Hoping to get mine reinstalled this afternoon. Now, having said that, I cannot tell you that these are the original or correct fasteners, just the ones from mine that worked.
The screws into the brace appear to be #8 x 3/4" oval head stainless phillips.
There are also 2 bolts, one in the storage area, and one at the back under the cover where camaros have an ashtray/light. That looks to be phillips head 3/8" x 3/4" bolt.
The ones that go in the side are smallish(not sure what size) black headed screws. Can't remember if tapered or flat under the head. You should be able to tell by looking at the hole it goes through.

Chrome tapered like the pic you have is correct.

Well it involves going all the way out to the garage and pulling the cover back and using a flashlight(if I can find one of those). I don't know, it sounds pretty involved. By the time I get there I'll probably forget what I was doing and get sidetracked by something shiney.
