Hi, On my 69 I now have to turn the column by hand to a certain positon to get the motor to turn over and also to be able to get the steering wheel to lock. Any help would be appreciated.

your missing the lockout linkage to the transmission. you either took it out recently, or it was never there and your colum was in the right place until you moved it recently

Headers? Most headers don't allow you to run the lock out rod.
